The team doctor of Hatayspor, Gurbey Kahveci, has recently shared a post following reports that the player has been found might have been due to a mistaken identity.

According to the doctor’s report, the club is now resigned to the fact that both Atsu and sporting director Taner Savut still remain in the rubble.

On Monday, 6th February, it emerged that Atsu had been trapped in the rubble after the devastating earthquake hit parts of Turkey and Syria.

Atsu who plays for Turkish side Hatayspor, had been trapped under the rubble together with the club’s sporting director Taner Savut.

However, after hours of searching for the two, it was reported on Tuesday morning that the Ghanaian had finally been rescued alive and was receiving treatment.

Latest reports suggest the footballer’s whereabouts are yet to be accounted for, with Ghana’s Ambassador to Turkey confirming the same on Wednesday Morning.

We urge all Ghanaians to keep on praying to God for protection. We hope to hear the good news.
