Bankroller of Tema Youth Wilfred Osei Palmer has donated an amount of GHC 5,000 to support the upcoming Greater Accra Division 2 Special Competition.

The Greater Accra Regional Football Association has launched a special competition to boost clubs at division 2 level in Ghana.

The organizers of the competition expressed disappointment after the Normalization Committee failed to support them financially.

According to reports, the RFA Exco drew a pragmatic program and it’s relating budget covering all  Second Division Clubs, Third Division, Juvenile and Women Soccer in the Region to the NC for approval and sponsorship. The NC made it clear there was no money to fund the competition.

Organizers can now smile as they have some support from Osei Palmer who has given them 5,000 to start the tournament and promised to give more as the competition progresses.

The Tournament is scheduled to kick off this weekend with a total of 86 teams.
