The Assembly man for Sanyeri Electoral Area of Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District in Savannah Region has appealed to government to get the contractor complete Sanyeri Rural electrification project started since 2016.
Sanyeri and three other communities; Nasoyiri, Kpongeri and Soma go all materials ready but the contractor has left the project communities. The youth of Sanyeri have therefore expressed their disappointment over the stalled project.
They say all efforts made to get the DCE attention on the project proved fruitless. Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi Fm, the hardworking Hon Gbaran appealed to the new Savannah Regional Minister Hon Adam Salifu Braimah to get the contractor back to site to save some of the materials left at the mercy of the weather.
If not for the timely intervention of Hon Gbaran and some concerned youth of Sanyeri, 40 poles would have been stolen by the contractor. The people of Sanyeri revealed to Bole based Nkilgi that the connection of their community to the national grid will determine their participation in 2020 Presidential and parliamentary election.
