My Childhood Dream Was To Be A Professional Footballer – Baba Rahman

Ghana and Chelsea Abdul Rahman Baba in an interview with Football Made in Ghana revealed that his childhood dream was to be a football player.

Rahman Baba told the publication that he did not have a particular player he looked up to growing up but rather preferred taking delight in watching any good player on the day.

“Actually when growing up in Tamale I always wanted to be a footballer. I did not have a role model, all I did was to play and enjoy the game.” Baba said.

“I was watching all the good players and when I go on the field, I try to emulate their skills. My dream was to be a professional player and I am glad I have achieved that.

“I started as a midfielder but my colts club coach in Tamale turned me into a defender.” He added.

Baba who spent the just ended season at Stade Reims on loan from Chelsea has also previously played for Schalke 04, Dreams FC, Asante Kotoko, Greuther Furth, and Augsburg.
