Speaker of Parliament Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye has admonished parliamentarians to adopt the exemplary life of the late Dr. Kwabena Adjei.
The Speaker in eulogizing the former National Democratic Congress chairman said political leaders including MPs must emulate the former minister.
“Dr Adjei was a voice and actor of moderation in our politics at one time. He was man who was principled and showed in his various actions and activities, he went by his conviction. He could be wrong but he was sincere about the steps that he took.
“He was honest, he was not corrupt. I follow Ghanaian politics and I’m saying this in public, he was not corrupt. And it’s a quality we need for men and women in public life,” he noted.
To the Speaker, if people are able to exhibit leadership qualities devoid of corruption, they must be celebrated.
The Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu described the late Kwabena Adjei as an accomplished academician and an astute politician who made ”extraordinary contribution” to the social and economic development of Ghana.

We need to accord Dr. Kwabena Adjei the needed respect as somebody who has tirelessly contributed to parliament and the republic.’’
He promised to engage with the Executive (Presidency) to give the former MP a fitting burial.
